Tip 1: You don’t need to go over board to get that halloween feel. Add simple changes by using decor with spooky vibes, mixed in with your every day fall items. We love how these porches first grounded their design with mixed organic touches by incorporating autumn florals and pumpkins that can last all autumn long. Use 1-2 spooky items like bats, witches hats, skeletons, cobwebs or any other holiday decor to add that Halloween spirit and take it up a notch for the Holidays.

Tip 2: Adding decor to your interior can still be playful and eerie when done in the right way. Using a muted color palette of black, white or deeper fall tones can keep your decor from getting too bright or feeling fake. Organic and natural pieces with texture and life to them like animals or cobwebs feel more realistic and less kitschy.

Tip 3: Add seasonal touches here and there that incorporate into your everyday layout. Adding just a few touches, like a crow or layered pumpkin, with your already placed items can subtly nod to that Halloween feel without going overboard.

Tip 4: Switch out artwork in your home as an easy way to add more decor that fits seamlessly into your home. Utilize frames you already have up on your walls or on your furniture to simplify the decorating process and give an eerie feel to your space.

Tip 5: Replace your summer florals with dry lifeless branches or stems full of autumn colors.
