Project Reveal: Made by Mary Office - Part 2
For the next stage of the reveal, we’re working our way through the many conference rooms scattered throughout the Made by Mary office. Their team spends a lot of time collaborating and holding meetings so having spaces they could meet together in was crucial. Luckily there were quite a few existing rooms that we could work with to create a large conference room and 2 other call rooms. Instead of incorporating standard commercial furniture that can sometimes feel too structured or cold, we used a combination of office furniture and durable pieces you could find in a home to create a more cozy feel.
Before:
The conference rooms before were utilized for private offices and a makeshift break room before we got started on the transformation. Our goal was to completely re-shape each space, from the original carpet that has seen too much use and ceiling tiles that were outdated/damaged. We brightened the walls, brought in warmth with an LVP wood floor, and replaced their current lighting along with adding custom lighting to create a statement in each space.
Large Conference Room
This area was used previously as a break room that felt like an after-thought. Old commercial furniture sat inside the rooms with bare walls and a few cabinets/shelves thrown in to hold the teams snacks. The length of the room was perfect for a longer conference table where larger gatherings could take place. We added personality to the walls with artwork and functional acrylic boards where teams could brainstorm together. A console for extra storage and a TV above filled the space but also created a way for sharing presentations or including members that work remote to call in and be a part of the meetings. The oversized brass pendants added a special design element that set this space apart.
Small Conference Room I
We utilized the other two spaces for smaller conference rooms to hold the many collaboration meetings that take place throughout the day. To keep the Made By Mary brand flowing from room to room, we incorporated specific pieces that brought each space to life with their aesthetic. We brought in these floral prints that showcase a beautiful watercolor design that felt soft, feminine and consistent with their brand. We then went in a different direction for the other room and designed a gallery wall with photographs that highlighted specific pieces from the Made By Mary collection. Continuing the brass finishes into each space kept the feminine design aesthetic uniform through out the office, while changing up different wood tones and colors ensured each space was unique.
