Station Park Project: Living Area
This has been a long time coming and we’re finally sharing the first part of our Station Park Project with you, the Living Space! When we first met with our client, we knew we wanted to head in a more modern direction while still keeping things comfortable and inviting. We first began by defining a direction with concept boards to ensure we were on the same page before diving into the design process.
THE CONCEPT
Our client loved neutral tones, soft contrast and grey colors. It was important that each piece felt minimal but was comfortable for the family to hang out and enjoy the space together.
THE SPACE PLAN
Our next step is to dive deep into how and what furniture will best fit the space. This is where we take a look at each corner and how every angle relates to each other. The client loved the idea of a sofa/chaise piece and then we designed the space around that, adding in other furniture that would be family friendly and functional.
There were large areas on each side of the fireplace that we balanced with furniture pieces. As the design process began, it was important to convey the placement and proportions of the selections so our client could envision the space along with us. Our elevation drawings were helpful for our client to see just how each piece of furniture would look when installed.
Our final product and install came together just as we envisioned! It’s always such a great feeling to walk through a physical space that began as a few concept images and drawings. Here are the final spaces of the Station Park Project Living Area!
