Friday Faves

1. I have been loving incorporating furniture with curved designs into my projects lately and I’ve been seeing this more and more in the recent months. Pieces with rounded edges is a great way to soften your spaces and break up lines in the space. There are so many ways to add a rounded silhouette to your home through chairs, sofas, hutches, lighting, and more. I loved how these curved pieces worked so well in the Rye project that I designed with Studio McGee! This client loved a more modern design, so there were a lot of linear and harsh lines found in the furniture and finishes we selected, but we helped the space still feel soft and balanced through adding in pieces with curved elements.

2. A good salad is a staple in our home! We enjoyed dinner with our friends this past week and they whipped up the biggest salad that was packed full of flavor! The fresh ingredients and a dash of lemon vinaigrette tasted like springtime. YUM! Get the recipe here.

3. A new client and project means focusing on the bigger picture like flooring! We’re working on a commercial space but want this space to have a more natural residential feel. I love seeing samples in person and laying things out to get a good sense of how a finish will look in a room. These are both “LVP” flooring options so the durability will be perfect for this space that will have a lot of foot traffic. We went back and forth between two different tones but settled on this beautiful dusk cherry color for their project (on the left). Stay tuned for more on this project reveal!

4. Spring is coming Spring is coming! Dresses are my favorite way to transition into the warmer months, going from the heavy winter clothes to bright and playful spring colors! Perfect for the spring holidays, family pictures, a visit to the park, or just to lounge around in because dresses are much. more comfortable than pants. Here are a few I have my eye on!

5. The designer spotlight for this week is @Kelseyleighdesignco! Such an inspiration in the design community and I can’t help but fall in love with every space she touches. She blends patterns and natural tones so effortlessly and keeps the rooms looking clean and bright! Follow her instagram for more inspiration.

Cheers to the weekend!
