Project Reveal: Modern Haven Remodel Pt.3

Come along as we take a deeper dive into our Modern Haven Remodel Project! We have loved sharing different aspects of this project throughout the past year and are now sharing more about the bathrooms in this modern home. Each bathroom we designed was specific to the tastes of each individual in the home making every space unique with the selections and colors bringing in a lot personality and function.

Powder Bathroom

Designing this main level powder bath presented us with a unique opportunity to create a small but impactful space. With limited square footage, the focus was on maximizing functionality while expressing our clients personal style. Opting for a minimalist approach, clean lines, and a neutral color palette, the design of this powder bathroom is both timeless and sophisticated. Since this was a space that their guests would see, we decided to keep the design clean and inviting. The accent vanity wall is covered in a beautiful linen textured subway tile that provides the perfect amount of contrast in the space. The horizontal stack design continues the modern element into the room and added needed texture. The simple color pallet for this bathroom was bright and clean so we chose satin brass fixtures paired with an oak vanity to warm up the room.

Quick Tip: Mixing Metals

Warm toned metals like polished nickel mix beautifully with other metals with similar warm tones like brass. We had a lot of brass selections in this space but we opted for a nickel mirror to bring in more dimension, adding visual interest to a bathroom.

Primary Bath

Our client wanted bold yet soft details that could fit both masculine and feminine energies for the Primary Suite. To match the modern design of the home we took a more minimal approach with clean lines and a bright, yet contrasted color scheme. Adding fixtures such as a freestanding bathtub, walk-in shower, and double vanity added an element of luxury and convenience. The ‘his and hers’ vanities made our clients feel like they had their own individual areas giving them the function they each needed out of their space. Modern elements like the thick countertops, flat cabinet drawers with sleek edge pulls, and streamlined plumbing helped this space feel connected to the home and our clients personal taste.

Kids Bath: Boys

For the boys bathroom we opted for a color palette that complements a masculine space while still feeling youthful and fun. The vanity color was painted Raintree Green by Benjamin Moore making this piece stand out in the otherwise monochromatic space. To stay on track with that youthful vibrancy, we chose a playful but modern basketweave mosaic tile with a white grout that made the floor pop and draw the eye. The dark color in the floor tile also created contrast between the white walls and shower tile, while tying in the black bathroom fixtures and hardware.

Kids Bath: Girls

The sweetest sisters share this bathroom so we wanted to create something both girls could enjoy. Staying true to that feminine flair, we chose Gray Owl by Benjamin Moore for the vanity color, which provided a soft neutral we could build on with more feminine touches. With delicate florals and accessories adorning its surface, this vanity creates a beautiful space for both of our clients to get ready. The handmade shower tiles tie in the vanity color while offering different tonal hues within each individual piece, creating depth and interest. Mixing black and satin brass fixtures added new dimension to the space while feeling cohesive and feminine.
